AudriannaWell, it was derned hot again. Dave built a misting system in the covered patio but it was still too hot to sit and eat outside. Everyone voted to stay in the a/c. Those who came were: Dave and Betty; Dan and Jessica and Audrianna and Lucas; Ashlee and a guy friend; Frank and Rene; Virginia; David and Jill, Sam and Dominic and Peg. Later on Meredith and Meri came. We had Pulled Pork sandwiches and I made a side of North Carolina Mop sauce (just for you J and K). We also had: melons; waldorf salad; corn on cob;cole slaw, potato salad; chicken wings and sauce; pasta salad (From Jen's cook book) and a chocolate fountain with strawberries, marshmallows, chocolate chip cookies, animal crackers, and bananas. Needless to say, plenty of food. It was nice to visit and especially nice to have little ones around. We love the little ones. The only ones who swam were the three Daves and Sam and Lucas.

The day ended off with a chocolate fountain. Dave Power came up with the idea and the goodies to make it. He was the first there and I think, the last to leave. It was great. It was Meredith's 12th birthday and we got to visit with her and Meri for just a few minutes. She is growing so tall. Didn't get a photo of them :(

Sounds delicious! I don't even know what mop sauce is. I'll have to look it up. Wish we could have been there to see everyone. Audrianna is a beautiful baby. And your new furniture (the table and the benches) look nice.
I'm glad you guys had a fun Labor Day. That chocolate fountain looks really yummy right now. Audrianna is an adorable baby. Did Jessica end up getting her uterus pulled out after she had her?
